Welcome To Your Emergence
Salvation Simply Explained
Salvation is a divine gift from God. It rescues you from the permanent consequences of sin and grants you eternal life. This gift is not about what you can do for God, but rather about what God has already accomplished for you.
How does one receive salvation? Ephesians 2:8 explains, "For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God." Your salvation comes through faith in Jesus Christ's grace, acknowledging that it is not your actions, but His sacrifice—His death on the cross and resurrection—that saves you.
What steps must I take to be saved? According to Romans 10:9, "If you declare with your mouth, 'Jesus is Lord,' and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved." To be saved, you need to turn from your sins, repent, and both believe and declare that Jesus is Lord. Salvation doesn't require you to earn it through deeds; it simply requires belief and confession.

Water Baptism
Water Baptism
Water baptism is a vital practice in our faith, symbolizing the transformation that comes when we decide to follow Christ. It is an external expression of an internal commitment to new life in Jesus.
Why We Practice Water Baptism:
-
Biblical Command: Jesus instructed His followers to baptize disciples in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit (Matthew 28:19).
-
Modeled by Jesus: Jesus Himself was baptized as recorded in Luke 3:21, setting an example by being baptized amidst prayer and divine revelation.
-
Meaning and Symbolism: The act of baptism by immersion under water represents the burial of the old self, as we rise to walk in a new way of life, just as Christ was resurrected (Romans 6:4).
Key Points About Baptism:
-
A Public Declaration: While baptism does not secure salvation, it is a public declaration of a personal decision to follow Christ, indicating a shift towards a heavenly journey.
-
A Call to Action: It is a clear biblical directive for all who confess Christ as Lord (Acts 2:38). Baptism is not just a symbolic act but a commanded step of obedience in the life of every believer.
-
A New Beginning: Through baptism, believers are immersed into a new life, signifying the washing away of the old life and a reawakening to a life guided by the Holy Spirit.
